Scope of Work: The Stata Center at MIT designed by the starchitect Frank Gehry what to have some renovation work done on the 4th floor. Since the building is designed with unique angles and curvatures, 3D scanning was the only method that could capture those unique conditions to be brought into Revit for as-built modeling.
Results: Deep Design Studio 3D scanned the space within only a few hours the following day developed the point cloud to be inserted into the Revit model. The modeling process went quick and all the detailed aspects of the space were well developed and the as-built model was incorporated into design process a week later.
