Project Size: ~105,000 square feet
Scope of Work: Berger Steel Corporation was hired to manufacture and install connections for the new fire suppression system. However, obtaining accurate measurement for the size and location of the structural beams and supports using tradition methods was not practical, and therefore 3D scanning was the only viable option for documenting the existing conditions of such a large volume of space.
Results: Deep Design Studio took a series of high definition scans to get the most accurate measurements and to create a detailed model for structural calculation. Berger steel was able to receive the mode and through an IFC conversion method was able to generate accurate structural calculations for the fire suppression connectors and supports.
