Scope of Work: Northwestern University purchased a series of homes to renovate for housing of new incoming staff. As construction was progressing NU Facilities management saw a need to document the rough installation of the MEP systems with 3D surveying and modeling. Deep Design Studio was brought on board to document and field verify the construction including framing and MEP runs and terminations.

Results: Deep Design Studio scanned both the interior and exterior of the house and created a single unified point cloud that was used to bring into Revit for modeling. The model will be used for maintenance and repair for NU’s facilities management as well as a well defined depiction of the existing conditions of the house as it was built.
